Austin weekend shopping guide Nov 2

This upcoming weekend is packed with all sorts of good shopping in town--just in time for the cooler weather or if you're getting a head start on your Christmas list!

Vintage: first of all of course, there's our hunt.gather.style vintage clothing pop up shop on Saturday at Touch of Sass (5th and Lamar).  We've got a ton of great clothing and accessories to share with you--all at reasonable price points.

Crafts: the Feliz holiday sale looks amazing--lots of hand crafted goods by local artists, perfect for gift giving.  Workshops are on Saturday and the sale is on Sunday at the Palm Door.

Charity: The Settlement Home for Children charity garage sale is a yearly sale event.  This sale totally BLEW my mind.  It is at the Palmer Events center, organized so so well, and yet is simply overwhelming due to the size and amount of stuff under one roof!  This is not for the faint of heart, but there are some great deals to be had!  The volunteers are so wonderful and friendly as well.  $5 on Friday then free on Saturday and Sunday.  There's supposedly an amazing box sale in the afternoon on Sunday that sounds craaaazy!  And guys, this charity is really amazing, taking great care of children, and the proceeds from this weekend event goes to fund their entire years' worth of support services and operating costs.

Charity take 2: if you're not too shopped out yet, this is the last weekend for the Holiday Shopping Card by the American Cancer Society.  Buying this card for $50 (proceeds go straight to the American Cancer Society) will get you 20% off regular priced items at local stores and boutiques.  It's a great deal if you've had your eye on something for a while or can't wait till sale time!  Participating merchants include: Anthropologie, West Elm, By George, Kickpleat, Jonathan Adler and more!
