Zara faux leather pieces

Even though it is still 95 degrees out, I'm loving (faux) leather looks and snagged the tee above from Zara just recently.  I can't figure out what to pair it with though (besides jeans), any ideas?  Also loving this leather and lace top.

Though this skirt is from last season, Zara has plenty of similar gorgeous maxi skirts out this season in lots of fun colors--just in case you're in the market for one! :)

Zara hot pink blazer

This blazer created a rift in my household.  BK took an instant disliking towards it (when pressed, he thought the gold buttons and shoulder pads made it look like a band uniform) while I thought the hot pink was pretty awesome.  The dogs refused to take sides.  I might change out the buttons but will try pairing it with other outfits to see if I can convince BK to the dark (pink) side.  On a more fun note--we got a new patio set!

I've been wanting to try the high/low skirt trend and the cobalt blue of this skirt drew me right in.  Also, Zara has amazing free shipping and free returns!  Score!

This panther belt came in the mail this past weekend and I couldn't wait to wear it out.  It was a bit weird to wear a huge buckle at my waist--I felt like a Care Bear all day.  *Care Bear Stare*

Just back from CA and had a great shopping trip to H&M and Zara.  Everything bright pink and striped caught my eye as you can tell by the picture of my purchases below.  You'll be seeing these items in outfit pictures soon!

Vintage lookalike: Zara maxi skirt

I really love the bright spring and summer colors at Zara stores this season.  I got this pink maxi skirt and adore it so much and was delighted to find a blue version at a thrift store.  It probably is from the 90s era so technically not vintage but a score at $5 all the same.  It's a perfect length to wear with flat sandals and the blue has been surprisingly versatile to pair with various colors (white, grey, forest green, orange, etc.)

Maxi skirt

Here's another "out of my comfort zone" outfit, featuring a maxi skirt.  The last time I wore a long skirt was at my wedding!  I'd avoided the trend for the past couple of years because really, I don't need a lot of help to look short.  However, I couldn't resist this bright Zara skirt and when I put it on, I immediately felt more feminine with my swishy skirt and the comfort factor was off the charts.  So, while it may not be the most flattering look, I hope to add a few maxi skirts to the rotation this summer.

Sorry about the funny face here but it's takes an act of god to get Link to look properly at the camera.  He's outfitted in his summer white fur coat.
